Do your employees occasionally forget to punch
in and out? Are you a supervisor who would like the convenience of
performing time card edits at your PC? If so, then Attendance Station is
the time and attendance solution you have been waiting for. Attendance
Station gives employees the option of punching in and out, and reviewing their
schedules and benefits at their personal
computer. The software also gives supervisors the flexibility to perform
scheduling and time card edits at their individual workstations.
Attendance Station runs on your PC in the
background, so you can punch in and out at any time. To punch, right-click
on the Attendance Station icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.
Punching in and out becomes even easier
when the process is automated by connecting the Microsoft Windows®
login/logout process directly to employee punches. Using the
automated process, employees are punched in when they login and punched
out when they logout of Windows at the end of the day.
Attendance Station enables supervisors
to perform scheduling and time card edits at their workstations.
These edits include adding and deleting punches, crediting and debiting
hours, and transferring employees to other workgroups.
Attendance Station has two modes of
operation: direct mode and remote mode, which provides you with
the ability to work with or without a continuous network link to your
Attendance database. In either case, database management,
including defining users and assigning access privileges, occurs at the
central location.
Direct Mode
In direct mode, Attendance Station is
set up with a live link to your Attendance database. In this mode,
all punches and transaction edits are performed in real time,
eliminating the need to poll time clocks or import attendance data.
Remote Mode
Attendance Station can also be used for
remote sites or isolated PCs. Remote mode allows one or more
remote locations to transmit attendance data to your central database
without the use of a continuous network link. Attendance Station,
set up on your remote PC, and Attendance Station Central Manager, at the
location of your central database, work together to synchronize your
Attendance databases.
The attendance data is sent at
regularly scheduled intervals either over the Internet, using an FTP
account, or over an existing WAN connection to a data repository on a
network drive. Once the databases have been synchronized, payroll
can be processed accurately.
Remote capabilities enable a
corporation to transmit attendance data quickly and efficiently without
the expense of network equipment and high-speed phone lines.
Attendance Station's remote option also provides a low-cost solution for
employees who telecommute, allowing every employee the opportunity to
participate in the company's automated time and attendance system.
